Since the 1950s, every generation of bassists has been distinguished by the classic jazz lines found on the Eko JB100 electric bass. Any bassist just beginning his musical journey will be delighted by the JB100's versatility and comfort thanks to its 21-fret maple neck and passive electronics made up of two single J-type pickups.

Timeless jazz lines

It is unnecessary to introduce the classic offset silhouette that served as inspiration for the JB100's design. The distinctive double cutaway, which provides good access to the final frets, along with two single pickups and a 4-bridge bridge/tailpiece block, provide a very recognisable visual trademark. This classic configuration has been adopted by Italian manufacturer Eko to make the JB100 an attractive electric bass, ergonomic with its contained weight and welcoming curves, and above all highly versatile for novice bassists.

Quality lutherie.

The JB100's construction has benefited from the highest attention to detail in order to provide bassists who are new to the instrument with an appealing, well-finished bass despite its extremely low price. A gloss lacquer highlights the body, which is made of poplar for strength. The laurel fingerboard on top of the robust, cosy 4-point screwed maple neck provides warmth and solidity.

A versatile configuration

Regarding the electronics, the JB100 has two J-type single-coil pickups, which are well-known for their snap, midrange, and adaptability. They work well for warm, clear sounds, but when paired with strong distortion, they can also be extremely biting and percussion-like. You can blend the characteristics of the various pickups and change their more or less dazzling timbre by using a general tone control and a volume control for each pickup to expand the musical options. To provide efficient sustain and fine-tune the action and harmonics of each string, the bridge/tailpiece block features separately adjustable saddles.
