A passive piezo pickup system for violin and viola is the GEWA VV-3. It provides a masterfully designed way to enhance your instrument's sound without compromising its acoustic qualities. 

Features:

Elegant, long-lasting design 

The pickup element is contained in a thin hardwood shell that is around 1.8 mm thick, offering a combination of style and usefulness.Instrument-safe, secure mountingSupported by chinrest screws, it installs securely into the bridge's wing slots. The metal surfaces have excellent chrome plating, and all contact areas are lined with cork to safeguard the instrument.

Unit of refined output 

The pickup has a standard 6.3 mm (¼") jack connector for convenient connection, and it is securely fastened to an elegantly formed ebony output enclosure. 

Design that is lightweight 

With a weight of just 36 g (about 1.3 oz), the VV-3 keeps sensitivity and balance without adding unwieldy bulk. 

Signal path optimisation 

A clean, natural amplified tone is achieved with a cable that is approximately 10 cm long and has a maximum impedance of 1500 Ω between the pickup and the housing.
