A new and enhanced Kawai sensitive hammer keyboard with three sensors for precise monitoring of hammer movement is a feature of the Nord Grand 2. The Nord Grand 2 offers significant versatility for performance and sound composition, keeping the original Nord Grand's simplicity of use while adding dual layers of piano and synth.

Performance

The Nord Grand has knobs and buttons for all the necessary functions needed for a live performance, in addition to separate LED faders for each layer. Instantaneous execution of operations like layer and split creation, effect addition, and instrument transposition is possible.
You may divide the two piano and synth engines over the keyboard or merge them into a single layer. There is a separate effects area for every layer.

Piano Section

Together with additional features like dynamic compression and unison, the Nord Grand 2 includes a sizable variety of grand, upright, and electric pianos from our proprietary Nord Piano Library. Our cutting-edge sampling method faithfully reproduces the remarkable subtleties and authentic nature of the original instruments.

Sample Synth Section

With two separate sample synths, the memory is much increased, and there are many new and updated sounds available, including wind, brass, strings, basses, guitars, and classic analogue leads and basses. A collection of samples from ProjectSAM's Symphobia and Swing libraries are also supplied. The Sample Synth part has two distinct, fully functional Layers with settings for attack, decay/release, and dynamic velocity response that are easy to use.

Effect Section

Each Layer of the Nord Grand 2 features a potent new Effect section. There are many new kinds of reverb, delay, amp, and modulation effects among the wide variety of effects.
